Since February is over, I figured I should post about Valentine's Day finally! Mason had a lot of fun painting and decorating his box for daycare. He took 'Cars' valentines with pencils and suckers to both daycare and preschool.
Tristyn got her first rose . . . from her daddy! She would have eaten it if we would have let her, so I think she liked it! He also brought me roses and lilies that were very pretty. Mason loved smelling them. My dad used to always give us a flower or box of chocolates on Valentine's, so I loved that Dan did the same for Tristyn.
Mason brought a ton of candy home from school! About 99% of it is still in the box! I'm such a mean mom that I won't let him just dig in and eat it (maybe if he'd eat some dinner!)
Tristyn took Mickey Mouse cards to daycare. She came home with a few treats and these cute hearts. I love the one of her footprints! Her teachers said she got mad at them when they put the paint on her feet because they're so ticklish! Both kids took heart shaped cards that Mason had painted and a gigantic heart pen in for their teachers.

We had a fun Valentines Day. In the morning we took the kids out to play in the snow. Mason helped Dan shovel and then pulled a sled around. Tristyn thought it was funny when we pulled him around on it. She liked to ride with him too. In the afternoon I went to Confessions of a Shopaholic with my sister Melissa and cousin Jen, then Melissa babysat that evening while Dan and I went to dinner at the Olive Garden. We hadn't been there in a while, so it was yummy! Thanks for babysitting, Melissa! It was nice to go out with my honey, sans kids, even if it was quick!
