What is it with this show? For the past three months I have been seriously addicted. For the past week I've been going through withdrawal (since I went back to work). Before June, I had noticed the show when channel surfing, but hadn't ever watched it. When my doctor was releasing me from the hospital, for some reason he mentioned the show and make me curious about it. That's how my maternity leave addiction began! For those of you who haven't heard about the show, it's about a couple who couldn't get pregnant so they used fertility treatment and ended up having twins. After that they decided they wanted one more, and after another fertility treatment they ended up with sextuplets. Can you imagine??!! I think the show just started it's third season, so I had two seasons to catch up on! Luckily, I was able to catch several marathons and 4 reruns each weekday (I planned Tristyn's feedings as much as possible around 9 am and 2 pm so I wouldn't miss one). I checked the episode list online and I think I managed to see about 90% of the old shows. I'll still try to catch episodes I haven't seen on the days I'm home, but you'll bet that Monday nights at 7 pm, I'll be planted on the couch watching the new season!
Dan asked me why I like the show so much. I'm not really sure--maybe it's to see how Kate manages to keep her house almost spotless despite having 8 kids running around (I can't keep mine put together with only two kids). Maybe it's because I come from a family of 8 kids and I'd like to see how this family compares (although we didn't have any multiples). Maybe it's because Aunt Jody has the same flowery yellow couch that I have (it's just as ugly in her house). Maybe it's because I like to be the fly on the wall watching how other homes operate. Maybe it's because I wonder how they can afford to feed 10 people on one income. Maybe it's because Kate and Jon can be blundt without offending each other. Or maybe it's because I like to get ideas on disciplining my kids, or ideas on keeping them entertained all day. Whatever the reason, I've really enjoyed watching the show. I'm trying to only watch the episodes I haven't seen now, rather than watching every episode that comes on. I know I'm not the only one--Natalie has admitted that she's onto the show too! Why do you like it, Nat??
The other show that I forgot I really liked is Scrubs! I only watched the first season, so it's been fun watching reruns. I haven't forgotten about Friends, though. I still catch it on cable when I can, but I'm afraid to get out the DVDs because Mason would make them his own!
Now that I'm back to work, I'm realizing again that I don't have time to keep up with all of the TV shows that I'd like to. And starting on Labor Day, I'm going to have a real dilemna--Prison Break or Jon & Kate?? They both air on Monday nights! We seriously need a DVR!

Oh man, I totally know what you mean! I dont know what it is either...other than it makes me less crazy having just one once I see all the craziness in her house. It makes me calm my OCD down a little.
I totally know what you mean! I love that show and I dont know why. I think it is because her house is crazy so it makes me feel like I can handle one if she can handle 8! It tones down my OCD a little.
That's really funny that you are in to it too. I was watching it all the time forever ago and kinda forgot about it until I read your blog. I'm not sure why I like it...I think it's because of her fun personality and their joking. She cracks me up! I've had more than one conversation about this show...I thought it was just me that got sucked in to it.
I think that you like the show so much because you secretly want 8 kids!! :) I think the main picture at the top of your blog of your family, where Dan is holding Mason, is awesome because it shows Mason's spirit! He looks like he is having a good time! We miss you guys!! --From Josh
PRISON BREAK ALL THE WAY!!! haha. Yeah I'm a HUGE fan of BOTH Prison Break and Jon & Kate... so, I'm LOVING being able to live with the parents and getting the benefit of DVR!!! :D I love getting so many ideas from Kate and seeing that I'm not as crazy as some people out there with my "germ-a-phobe" problem. haha.
Hey Steph! Me and Tomm watch that show sometimes too. The last one we saw was when ALL the kids (except the oldest two) had the FLU! Can you imagine? I would be begging for death. Sometimes she is kindof rude to her husband... I guess when you have 8 kids there is no time to be polite.
I happen to be obsessed with Grey's Anatomy right now; thanks to Netflix I have started from the beginning and I am on season 3 now. I it is ridiculous how this show has pulled me in.
Hope you guys are doing great!
Hey Steph! I'm so glad I came across your blog, And that it's not a private blog so those stalkers out there can look!
I love that show. I think they are so funny together. Anyways, cute family. I see you are still in Utah. I'm in Montana. I would love to hear from you!
I just discovered Jon and Kate last spring, and got addicted. Now we've lived all summer without TV and I'll need to catch up when we have it again!
