Oh no! That looks nasty :(
Oh no
Speaking of kids falling off chairs... Bloody nose and huge top lip. Hopefully her teeth are there--she wouldn't let me look.

Someone needed a second nap but didn't want to go to bed.

This is Jaelin's second swim lesson and she hasn't enjoyed either one. It doesn't help that the class is during nap time. Hopefully she'll warm up to it over the next few weeks.

Mason and Tristyn love their classes!

Look ... a tooth!  I've been watching the bottom so close that I missed them getting so close on top!

That is awesome!
Jaelin's first OREO cookie!  I guess she was saving the rest for later.

School's Out!

The last Kindergarten carpool and I think the boys were pretty excited about it!

Out of the Mouth of Babes

Our kids say the funniest things all the time so I really need to be better at documenting them!  Tristyn had a few funnies yesterday . . . I was helping her peak out our bathroom window to see the boys working in the back yard.  There were a few clouds that were illuminated by the afternoon sun.  Tristyn pointed to one and said “Look, the Holy Ghost!” When I looked out and asked where, she pointed and said “The Holy Ghost cloud, right there!”  It did look like it was glowing!

Then we were out returning some things at Burlington and someone had hung a bra along the checkout isle.  In her loud Dora voice, she said “Look! Something that boobies go in!”  I explained that it’s called a bra and she went on to say how they are for boobs when they get bigger.   Everyone in line got a quick course in anatomy from a 4 (almost) year old!  She kept looking at stuff along the isle and knocked one of the hooks down.  It made a loud clank and so she giggled at the checker and said she was very noisy.  We didn’t disagree!

Our next stop was Shopko. On the way in she tried to scrape dried bird poop from the car next to us.  When I explained what it was she was grossed out.  I was very tempted to wipe her hand before I had to hold it to cross the parking lot.  Yuck!  She had her little notebook that apparently had a list of all the things we needed to buy because she was telling me what we needed to get next. Things like skirts, hair things, swim suits, and her birthday card!  She wanted to pick one out herself.  I found a cute princess castle card and tried to sneak it in the cart but she dug it out so she could hold it.  I found it on her night stand last night.   Then she went to Macy’s with Dan . . . maybe that’s why he came home with way more than was on the list!

On other topics, Jaelin has been getting up on all fours and is rocking a bit so it won’t be long before she is racing Tristyn around the house!  She also had watermelon and strawberries in a mesh bag yesterday and loved them.  Mason is on his last Kindergarten field trip today and has his K program tomorrow night. I can’t believe the year is over.  Other than the ‘water gun’ incident that caused us to go to the principal’s office last week, it’s been a great year for him and he has learned so much!  He has been helping Dan prep the back yard for a new swing set and is chompin’ at the bit to put it together!

Tired Baby!

I was playing with Jaelin and making her laugh by pulling her two fingers out of her mouth. I think she grew tired of that game because then she just got really mad at me.

Cutie Patootie!

I love this photo of J. It was her first ride in the wagon. She wasn't quite sure what to think of the bumpy ride.

Soccer gal

Tristyn is in her second year of soccer and she seems to be enjoying it. Last fall she was only interested in dressing down and getting the treat at the end. She'd only play if we held her hand on the field. This year started the same way so we have been bribing her to go out on her own and Melissa bought an Apple Jack pony that she'll earn if she kicks the ball six times in a game. Only two chances left! She also likes cheering for Mason's team.
The video was too cute not to share!
